Louisiana Right to Life has rescheduled PULSE Gulf Coast Immersion to July 17-18 and it will now be hosted at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Fairhope, AL.
What is a PULSE Immersion?
PULSE Immersions train high school students to be the pro-life leaders of today. Formerly known as "Camp Joshua," weekend event like these take place in Louisiana, Virginia, Arkansas, Nevada, Wisconsin, and other states every year.
What will happen at PULSE Gulf Coast?
PULSE Gulf Coast will be an exciting two-days for high school students to immerse themselves in the pro-life cause. With engaging speakers and testimonies, you will be educated on the pro-life issues and inspired to make a difference. With hands-on activism, games, our famous PULSE Coffee House, and a number of onsite outdoor activities, you will have a blast at PULSE!
Who Can Attend and How Much?
PULSE Immersions are open to all high school students of any denomination. The registration fee per student will be $25, and registration is open below. Registration includes meals, materials, lodging, and T-Shirt.
College students are also invited to participate as attendees and possibly as chaperones. They should contact Alex Seghers at 1.866.463.5433 or alex@prolifelouisiana.org.
When Does the Event Start and end?
The event will begin at 10 AM on Monday July 17th with registration opening at 9 AM. There is an optional Catholic Mass at 8:30 AM participants and guests are welcome to attend. The event will end at 8 PM on Tuesday July 18th with a dinner at 6 PM that parents / guests are welcome to attend (please confirm with us when you register if you parents or other guests will attend the dinner).
What should I pack?
Please pack toiletries, sleeping bag, pillow, towel, and soap (and other supplies for shower). Students will sleep on floor (in rooms separated by gender). Bug spray, sunscreen, and other outdoor needs are recommended. Clothing should be respectful and casual, and be mindful that it may be cold in the meeting rooms. Ladies, no short shorts, miniskirts, or low-cut shirts. Guys, please wear shirts with sleeves, and no muscle shirts. Feel free to pack your acoustic instruments, frisbees, and other items for our Coffee House Talent Show or free time!
Do NOT bring snacks and drinks. No drugs, alcohol, or cigarettes allowed. Please refrain from bringing your laptop computer. While we are fine with using your phone occasionally through the weekend, please do so in moderation, and DO NOT use during sessions. Let your friends know that you are going to PULSE and will not be available for the most part (or encourage your friends to sign up with you!).
